Utah Human Race Registration OPEN!

Posted on

Registration has officially opened for our 12th annual Utah Human Race, held on Thanksgiving morning (November 23) in Draper. This family-friendly 5K/10K race offers a chance to start a day of plenty with a great family activity that gives back to the community. Every registration fee and sponsorship dollar directly benefits Utah Food Bank’s work of Fighting Hunger Statewide. This is one of the largest 5K/10K events in the state with over 5,000 participants annually! If we can reach 6,000 participants this year, we estimate we will be able to provide 1 meal for each of the 392,000 Utahns facing hunger using the proceeds from this race alone! Running with an Attitude of Gratitude has even more meaning when you consider that 1 in 6 Utah children are unsure where their next meal is coming from, not just on Thanksgiving, but all year long.

Registration fees are $20 for the 5K race and $25 for the 10K race, which will start at either 7:30 a.m. (10K) or 8:00 a.m. (5K). The race route is certified by USA Track & Field, and begins and ends at the Draper Spectrum (12101 S. State Street). Online registration closes on November 20 at noon, but you can register in-person at packet pick-up for an additional $10, which is held on November 22 at Utah Food Bank’s SLC warehouse (there is no same-day registration OR packet pick-up). When you register, you can form a team, invite people to join you by either donating OR running with you, and the top fundraising team will win a Utah Grizzlies suite for 16 people at the January 6th game! So start recruiting and planning your costumes!
