Summer is our Most Critical Time of Need
For families facing food insecurity, summer means one thing: hunger. They can no longer rely on school meals, and families who are already struggling have to try and find a way to ensure their kids don’t go to bed hungry. Sadly, summer is also a time when donations slow down significantly. As we continue to feel the economic impacts of COVID-19, including skyrocketing food costs, Utah families find themselves making tough tradeoffs to keep their families fed. Through our Summer Business Food & Fund Drive, we encourage businesses and organizations of all sizes to host creative food or fund drives in the workplace because, just like hunger, businesses don’t take a summer break.
