To maximize the quality of the volunteer experience and to help us prepare for your volunteers accordingly, all volunteers must schedule in advance. We do not accept walk-in volunteers. All volunteers must be at least 12 years of age, except for children signed up for family volunteer shifts.
Depending on the season, time of day and project availability, we generally schedule a maximum of 30 volunteers per shift, but we may be able to accommodate larger adult groups on select days. Please note that we may combine smaller groups or individuals for certain tasks in order to maximize efficiency. Projects may include sorting food donations, assembling food boxes, repackaging bulk food into family-sized amounts or labeling food for distribution.
Upon request, we may be able to provide a room for your group for meetings or a meal in conjunction with your volunteer shift. Unfortunately, Utah Food Bank cannot provide food for these events.
