KUTV 2News Diaper Drive Supports Families Statewide
Join the 2News Diaper Drive Effort Today
This month, you can take action to support families facing diaper need across our state.
From April 3 through May 10, the KUTV 2News Diaper Drive brings communities together to collect diapers and financial donations for the UFB Diaper Program. With support from local partners, businesses, and neighbors like you, this statewide effort helps ensure Utah’s youngest children have a healthier, more stable start.
Why Diapers Matter
Diapers are a basic need, yet for many Utah families, they remain out of reach.
Nearly 1 in 2 U.S. families with young children experience diaper need. At the same time, an adequate supply can cost more than $100 per month per child. Because of this, parents are often forced into impossible choices.
- 1 in 4 families report skipping meals to afford diapers
- SNAP and WIC do not cover diapers
- Without diapers, parents may lose access to childcare or employment
As a result, diaper need and hunger are closely connected. At Utah Food Bank, we see this reality every day.
UFB Diaper Program Expands Impact Statewide
In 2025, Utah Food Bank expanded our reach by bringing the UFB Diaper Program into our network, strengthening support for families across all 29 counties.
Through the UFB Diaper Program, we can:
- Reach more families in both rural and urban communities
- Strengthen partnerships with local agencies
- Help parents avoid choosing between food and diapers
“Families should never have to choose between feeding their child and keeping them clean and healthy. Through the UFB Diaper Program, we are able to meet families where they are and provide support that restores dignity, stability, and hope.”
Ginette Bott, President & CEO of Utah food Bank
When you support this program, you do more than provide essentials, you help create a stronger foundation for children and families.
