Holiday Food & Fund Drive

Posted on

The Holiday Season is officially upon us. With it comes our Holiday Food & Fund Drive. During a season filled with giving, please don’t forget about the 410,000 Utahns, including 1 in 7 children, facing food insecurity. When you’re not sure how you will keep yourself and your family fed, and your cupboards are empty, that hunger can turn what’s intended to be a season of cheer into a season of fear. Hunger is closer than you think, and you can make the holidays brighter for those who need it most.

You can drop off food donations at any Harmons, Riverton Chevrolet, or our warehouse in Salt Lake City or  St. George. Our most needed food items are:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Mac & Cheese
  • Canned Meats (tuna, chicken or beef)
  • Chili
  • SpaghettiOs/Ravioli
  • Canned Fruits
  • Other Boxed Meal

We are always looking for volunteers – both individual and group volunteers are welcome, but we ask that you sign up in advance. You can find out about all our volunteer opportunities and sign up here.

Every dollar given to Utah Food Bank turns into $8.71 worth of goods and services. It’s the most cost-effective way to give, and there are many ways you can donate money. You can join our Meal Makers Monthly Giving Program and have a set amount of your choosing automatically deducted.  Instead of neighborhood gifts, you could create a fundraiser on our behalf and share your unique fundraising link with your neighbors or ask friends and family to donate instead of giving holiday gifts. You can choose Utah Food Bank as your nonprofit on AmazonSmile and have a donation made at no cost to you with every purchase you make on Amazon this holiday season.

There is no shortage of ways to give back through Utah Food Bank during the holidays, and hunger is closer than you think, so whether it’s gifts of food, time, or money, your donation will truly impact the lives of our neighbors in need.

We are grateful for our partners who are helping us fight hunger this holiday season B92.1 FM, George S. & Delores Doré Eccles Foundation, Harmons, Riverton Chevrolet, and Wells Fargo.
