Semi DriverUtah Food Bank is in need of a Semi-Driver to pick up and deliver food donations/agency orders. Candidates should have strong customer service skills to interact with donors (commercial & private) and with staff at agencies servicing people in need of food assistance.
DUTIES: Operate UFB vehicles in a safe and efficient manner; inspect truck daily, keep vehicle clean, report maintenance needs to supervisor; load and unload with and without mechanical assistance; maintain all paperwork required by DOT and by UFB; work as a team with other staff in transportation, warehouse and inventory departments. Must have Class A CDL with doubles endorsement & DOT medical card; clean MVR (no DUI's or liability accidents in the last 5 years) and at least two years experience operating tractor/trailer(s)over the road; experience with log books and DOT paperwork and requirements; ability to use pallet jacks & hand trucks/carts; and forklift knowledge (certification will be provided by employer). Must have copy of MVR to apply. Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Must have or be able to obtain food handlers permit (training by employer), Saturday & Sunday (normally) off. Out of state runs about twice per month, usually overnight. Must be at least 21 years of age for insurance purposes.
